THE BRIEF
Fintech is on the rise. With the proliferation of financial health tools, robot-investors and disruptive brands challenging the existing banking model — Millennials have the ammo to be financially savvy, but many lack the interest to engage. We’re not talking about your friend who obsesses over Mint.com or brags about their personalized budgeted spreadsheet tools. We want to understand the landscape of services today that allow Millennials to be hands-off with their financial health, but feel rest assured it’s in good hands. This investigation is to understand how to improves people's lives, which also requires an eye towards general brands that get this right outside the fintech space as well.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
The final deliverable will be a Google Slides archetype based competitive analysis which is divided into two components:

Archetype Identification // Of the 10-15 brands we define, we’ll need an archetype for each informed by the following: the brand vibe, how the vibe manifests in the world (marketing), who the brand is fighting for (tribe), and who the brand is fighting against (enemy).

Archetype Mapping // Once the archetypes have been established for all 10-15 brands, use the TNS archetype needs state 2x2 framework to identify an opportunity for a new bank in this space.
